Yoni yoga is an empowerment practice that guides women in developing their connection to their source of power: the yoni! Yoni is the Sanskrit word describing Shakti energy and basic anatomy of the female genitalia. There is no word in the English language that expresses the expansive qualities and depth of power as well as the word yoni. Yoni yoga joins together the ideas and perspectives of Eastern yogic philosophy with that of the Western views of the pelvic floor. Using traditional yoga movements, pranayama, meditation, and mudra we change our consciousness through deep connection, reverence, and profound love for the natural rhythms and flow of our bodies. In doing, so we open ourselves up to the potential for spiritual power and heightened intuitive awareness that only experiences related to the yoni can offer; menstruation, orgasm, childbirth, and menopause. When we allow ourselves to feel the sacred feminine energy within and express our consciousness as women, the whole world changes. When we practice and embody yoni yoga we awaken our inner guide and connect deeply to the Universe which has the potential to heal the world, one yoni at a time. When we tap into the greatest source of our power as women we reclaim voice, find healing, improve our creativity, discover a deeper connection with our intuition, and fall deeper in love with ourselves than ever before.
